| ATUG Award for Allcom in the Hunter |
November 2005 - Allcom is the proud recipient of this year’s Housley Telecommunications award for “Innovation in Telecommunications Services in the Hunter”.
The award recognised the converged network designed and implemented by Allcom for Newcastle Private Hospital - in particular for the integration of the IP Communications network with the Nurse Call System.
In accepting the award Allcom’s Managing Director, Michael Smith, acknowledged that without the hospital’s vision for an “leading technology solution” the project would not have eventuated. Mr Smith praised the efforts of the Allcom team responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget and for exceeding the client’s expectations.
The ATUG awards encourage and recognise the development of the telecommunications industry in regional Australia.
The award was presented at the Hunter Valley Australian Telecommunications Users Group (ATUG) Gala Dinner and Awards Evening at the Madison Hotel, Charlestown on November 24th 2005.
