| Allcom Establishes First Regional NSW Presence |
January 2004 – Allcom has taken a significant step to providing quality regional IT services by establishing its first regional office in Newcastle to service the Hunter area.
Allcom has a strong focus on regional NSW and continues to work closely with NSW Department of Commerce on a range of NSW Government initiatives to provide improved services to regional NSW.
Allcom had established a number of key clients in the Hunter district. Leading edge technology projects had been delivered to NBN3, Newcastle University and Newcastle Private Hospital by Allcom out of its Sydney office and the decision to open the Newcastle office provided Allcom with the opportunity to improve support of the regional clients.
Allcom has recruited quality local personnel and has the only Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) in the Hunter region.
Mr Ian Warby, formerly Allcom’s Operations Manager in Sydney, has been appointed Regional Manager and will be based in the Newcastle office.
